EMPLOYMENT WORKING GROUP AND ACTION PLAN
Auburn Employment Working Group
The Auburn Employment Working Group is a local working group comprising representatives from: employment and training organisations; local, state and federal government agencies; recruitment organisations; job network providers; and community organisations.
The aim of the group is to develop practical strategies to address local employment issues and service gaps for migrants and refugees in the Auburn area. The group meets bi-monthly.
Note that in October 2010 the Partners in Employment for Refugees Network was amalgamated with the Employment Working Group.
Employment Action Plan
The Working Group has identified 2 clear target groups - skilled migrants and humanitarian entrants with low levels of English.
An Action Plan has been developed with a range of strategies specific to each of these target groups.
