BILINGUAL SMALL BUSINESS SEPTEMBER

By providing Bilingual Small Business September workshops  again in 2011 and in partnership with the Australian Taxation Office we believe that businesses will have increased access to information and an opportunity to be the best they can be.

Who is involved in the event?

A collaboration between Fairfield  and  Auburn City Councils and the Australian Taxation Office has resulted in anotherBilingual Small Business September. This is an excellent example of councils working collaboratively and across boundaries and demonstrating the value that all partners can add to the project.

What areas will they be rolled out across?

The Fairfield and Auburn City Council areas

What languages will workshops be held in?

Cantonese/Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic, Turkish and English

These languages are spoken by a large proportion of business operators within the collaborating local government areas.

What can business expect to get out the workshops?

Businesses will receive translated business assistance handouts, copies of the language specific presentations and the opportunity to provide feedback on other business information they would like to have delivered in community languages as well as an opportunity to network.
