Partnership with University of Western Sydney
University of Western Sydney - bring knowledge to lifeAuburn City Council has partnered with the University of Western Sydney School of Management to provide reciprocal benefits for Council and for Management students of the University.  
 
Students are required to conduct conversations with local business to prepare a Business Sustainability Report for Council which includes the views of businesses in the local government area.   
 
Auburn City Council invites businesses to become involved in this important research initiative by participating in a short interview (confidential) with students.

Auburn City Council  has received the University of Western Sydney Partnership Award in recognition of its working relationship with UWS throughout 2010 and again in 2011.
 
Auburn City Council's Manager - Economic Development has worked closely with final year management students to conduct research in our local business community where students conducted conversations with more than 60 small, medium and large businesses on issues of sustainability, barriers to business growth and other issues important to local business owners.
 
The research assists Council in developing initiatives to assist business owners to manage, strengthen and grow their businesses.
