Auburn City Council has a 24 seater, wheelchair accessible community bus which is available for hire to community groups to support local community activities.

The community bus is available to non-profit community based organisations, schools, sporting associations and government departments within the Auburn Local Government Area. 
 
Groups must supply their own driver with a LR Light Rigid license (previously class 1B or 3A). The driver is required to undergo a road and safety assessment with Auburn City Council. A booking cannot be made until the nominated driver is authorised by Council. Fees range from $54 per day depending on the category of use.

The bus was donated by DOOLEYS Catholic Club in Lidcombe who generously provided $120,000 to cover the purchase of the bus while Auburn City Council covers the ongoing maintenance and storage.
 
The bus also runs on a loop around the Auburn LGA every Thursday.
