INTRODUCTION TO COUNCIL'S INTEGRATED PLANNING AND REPORTING FRAMEWORK

In 2009, the NSW government passed legislation establishing a new framework guiding local government on new ways of organising and reporting on their activities. Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework was designed to increase community involvement in future planning, increase local government accountability to the community, improve local government sustainability and encourage greater integration in local government operations.

For more information about the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework, please visit our Corporate Planning webpage.

Delivering Sustainability within the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework
Auburn City Council developed the Auburn Sustainability Action Plan as a means to plan and deliver sustainability projects within the Integrated Planning Framework. The Auburn Sustainability Action Plan sets out our four year plan to achieve the strategic  programs that were identified from the Delivery Program and the Operational Plan.

The ASAP 2011-15 is a four year plan that follows the Integrated Planning and Reporting framework. The ASAP 2011-15 describes Council’s long term actions that will inform the environmental sustainability components of future Operational Plans.

Furthermore the ASAP 2011-15 sets the key performance indicators for each action so that we can measure our performance and report each year to the community in the Auburn City Council Quarterly and Annual Report .
