In addition to the fortnightly Green Waste Bin collection service, Council is now providing a Bulky Green Waste Collection, once per month, for FREE. Council will collect:
R Tree / plant trimmings
R Stumps / logs maximum 5kg each
R Tree branches
Items must be tied together in bundles no longer than 1 metre and no wider than 200mm diameter – total items must not exceed one cubic metre.
Council will NOT collect:
S Bags of soil S Grass clippings S Spiked or thorny plants S Noxious plants (privet, camphor laurel, oleander, bamboo, coco palm etc) S Palm trees or palm fronds S Any non-Green Waste items Items MUST NOT be tied with plastic/synthetic twine or rope or placed in plastic bags. Items should be tied with jute/hessian rope or twine or may be placed in hessian bags. If placing in hessian bags, bags should not exceed 5kg. Collection Conditions: § Items MUST NOT be placed out EARLIER than the evening before the scheduled collection date. § Items MUST be presented in bundles or bags as specified above.§ Items MUST NOT be placed on the footpath, in driveways or anywhere that may cause obstruction to pedestrians or vehicles. § Items MUST be safely and neatly stacked near the kerb. § Items MUST NOT exceed one cubic metre - excess items will not be collected by Council. Items that do not fit the collection conditions will be treated as illegal dumping - items must either be removed or fines will apply.
