Please note that all changes have a $25.00 administration fee applied to the property.   

Frequently asked questions

What do I do if my bin was not emptied or missed on my collection day?
  • You must contact Council's Customer Service on (02) 9735 1222 as soon as possible so that your bin will be collected the next day.
What do I do if my bin is stolen or missing?
  • Search along your street to see if your bin has been misplaced. If you still cannot find the bin, either contact Council's Customer Service on (02) 9735 1222 or create an online request and report a stolen bin. 
What do I do if my lid, wheels or bin is cracked or broken? 
  • Contact either Council's Customer Service on (02) 9735 1222 or create an online request for bin repairs. 
Does Auburn City Council collect Construction and Demolition or Home Renovation Waste?
  • No, non-collectable items can be disposed of at the Waste Management Centre on Old Hill Link Road, LIDCOMBE or Chullora Recycling Park on Muir Road, CHULLORA. For more information on these facilities, call SITA Environmental Solutions Customer Service Centre on 13 13 35.
I had a party on the weekend and have a few bags of rubbish that can not fit in my bin, where can I take the rubbish bags? 
  • Make sure that you have taken out any recyclable material (aluminium / steel cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles, paper, plastic containers). If there is still too much rubbish, take the bags to your local Waste Management Centre, either; the Waste Management Centre on Old Hill Link Road, LIDCOMBE or Chullora Recycling Park on Muir Road, CHULLORA. I have just moved into a new house, how do I get new bins?

How long does it take to organise a pre-booked waste collection?
