HOUSEHOLD CLEANUP SERVICES

Scheduled Household Collection

Correct rubbish placementAuburn City Council organises two scheduled clean-up collections per year for all residential properties across the Auburn Local Government Area.

Residents are notified by a leaflet in the week prior to the collection the following week.

There is no need to book for the scheduled clean-up.

Download a schedule of dates to find out when your next scheduled collection date is. If you are unsure on how to find your street, contact Customer Service on
(02) 9735 1222.

Cleaner Streets for a Better Neighbourhood

Auburn City Council wants to improve our local area by reducing the amount of rubbish on streets.

To help local residents dispose of excess household rubbish, we provide:

  • two scheduled clean-ups per household, per year
  • two pre-booked household bulky waste collections per household, per year
  • a separate metals & whitegoods collection

Pre-booked Household Bulky Waste CollectionPlace green tape around your pre-booked items

Each household within the Auburn Local Government Area is entitled to two free pre-booked household bulky waste collections per financial year.

Bookings are essential and will need to be made 2 weeks in advance.

To make a booking either call Auburn City Council on (02) 9735 1222 or book online by following the link below.

Please note that only materials that have been pre-booked for collection can be placed on the footpath.

Items that have been put out without a booking are considered dumped rubbish and can attract a fine of up to $750.

Visit our Online Request Service to organise a Pre-booked Household Bulky Waste Collection.

Booking tape

Once you have made a booking, you will be sent a confirmation letter advising the collection date and conditions for collection together with green booking tape.

Booking tape must be placed around the materials to be collected. This will enable Council staff to differentiate between pre-booked or dumped waste.
