Recycling service

DON'T WASTE IT, RECYCLE IT!

Auburn City Council is dedicated to recycling as much waste as possible to ensure a sustainable environment for future generations.

Recycling Collection Service

We provide a fortnightly collection service for recycling and garden waste on the same night as your domestic waste collection.

Auburn City Council works in partnership with Visy Recycling to provide you with the most efficient collection service.

When are the recycling bins collected?

These bins are collected every fortnight on the alternate week of the garden organics collection.

 Remember!

  • Don't place recyclables in plastic bags - they won't be recycled.
  • Use a tub or basket to transport your recyclables to ensure your recycling efforts are not wasted.
  • Placing non-recyclables in your recycling bin means that your bin is contaminated and may be rejected at the recycling plant, leading to increase of cost to Council and the community.
