Garbage - Pre Booked Bulky Household Collection

From 1st January 2014, residents of the Auburn LGA community will be entitled to FOUR pre-booked bulky waste collections per calendar year.

Auburn City Council will collect up to one cubic metre (equating to 1x small box trailer) of Household Bulky Waste items in accordance with the specified items below.

Please note that Council will not reschedule bookings due to non-presentation of items. Where Council attends a property to make a collection, that booking is considered completed whether items are presented or not.

Pre-book requests are scheduled and collected between Mondays through to Friday depending on the collection suburb. You may however, request a forward date provided that date coincides with the standard

Collection Conditions:

  • Items MUST NOT be placed out any EARLIER than the evening before the scheduled collection date.
  • Items MUST NOT be placed on concrete footpath, in driveways or anywhere that may cause
    obstruction to pedestrians or vehicles.
  • Items MUST be safely and neatly stacked on the grass verge near the kerb.
  • Items MUST NOT EXCEED ONE CUBIC METRE - excess items will not be collected by Council and will be treated as illegal dumping – FINES APPLY.

Please Note: We no longer send out green tape nor send out a confirmation/reminder letter to the given postal address.

Council reserves the right to refuse waste services where 'Conditions of Collection' are not met. Residents can incur on-the-spot fine penalties up to $750. Unauthorised dumping is not only illegal but dangerous and unsightly.
