Did you know

  • Water is an important and finite resource.
  • We live on the driest continent in the world
  • Australia wastes up to 92% of its city runoff
  • Sydneysiders alone use an average of 412 litres of water a day, 20 times more per person than what the World Health Organisation defines as the bare minimum required
  • Sydney exceeds the sustainable flow from its catchment dams by 30 giga litres every year
These issues, as well as continuing drought, means that water conservation and recycling is a top priority in Australia.  It is the responsibility of us all to substantially limit our water usage to protect this precious resource.
