Why do the parks need to be sprayed?Bindi

The purpose of applying these herbicides (including the Millennium, Kamba, Ronstar and Spearhead herbicides) is to control weed growth in turf and to maintain turf quality.

How will I know when my local park or sportsground is being treated?

Two weeks prior to spraying, information will be displayed on public notice boards indicating which parks and sportsgrounds will be treated, what pesticides will be used and the expected timeframe for completion.

 During the process, Council staff will have copies of the appropriate material safety data sheets available for public viewing at the site. Safety signage will be installed at each work site before the application of pesticide begins.
