Plans of management

PLANS OF MANAGEMENT FOR COMMUNITY LAND

The Local Government Act (1993) requires all Councils to prepare Plans of Management for land classified as community land.

What is a plan of management?

Plans of Management are legal documents that:

  • Identify the land in question
  • Describe any restrictions relating to its use
  • Categorize the land
  • Identify the uses permitted
  • Identify management strategies for the land together with performance objectives, anticipated outcomes and timeframes
