A number of sources provide financial assistance and grants to sport and recreation groups and individuals.

Community Development Support Expenditure Scheme

Many not-for-profit sporting clubs receive assistance through category 2 of the Community Development Support Expenditure Scheme

Communities Sport and Recreation

The Sport and Recreation Grant program is administered by Communities Sport and Recreation and provides financial assistance across a range of sources.

Other Grants

• The ‘Fresh Food Kids Community Grants Program has helped to fund over 4,600 grassroots initiatives since 2008 to help improve the health and wellbeing of primary school aged children across the country.

• The Commonwealth Bank Staff Community Fund’s Community Grants Program was specifically established to assist community organisations with projects that improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people nationally.

• The National Australia Bank’s Community Grants are awarded quarterly to organisations nominated by NAB employees who are involved in their activities.
