About Progress Park

The Park is used throughout the year for cricket and soccer. Two of the three sports fields have high quality floodlights for midweek training and matches.

Progress Park is an important part of Council’s extensive network of sportsgrounds that extends along the Duck River corridor and the boundary with Parramatta City Council.  

Facilities

  • Amenity building with kiosk, changing rooms and meeting space

  • 2 netball courts
  • 2 cricket practice nets
  • Children's playground
  • Floodlights 

Separate to the adjoining sportsfields is the Progress Park Sports and Community Centre. This is a multipurpose facility designed for community sports and other community programs.

Hire of the Centre is via an Expression of Interest application process which is open two times per year in line with seasonal hire arrangements for sportsgrounds (prior to the winter and summer sporting seasons). Please note the Centre is not available for casual or private hire.

Management and Maintenance

Progress Park is managed and maintained by Auburn City Council in accordance with Council’s Plan of Management for Sportsgrounds, Plan of Management for Parks and Sportsground Strategy.
