What is ClubGRANTS?

ClubGRANTS is a community grants program funded by local clubs and administered by Auburn City Council.
The scheme enables registered clubs with gaming machine profits over $1 million to apply for a tax rebate (of 2.25%). The rebate is used to provide grants to not-for-profit community organisations for community projects. The Scheme is guided by the Gaming Machine Tax Act 2001.

What Can I Apply For?

The Auburn ClubGRANTS Scheme aims to support local projects and services that assist people within the Auburn Local Government Area (LGA). Funded projects must be in the areas of Community Welfare and Social Services, Community Development, Community Health Services and Employment Assistance Activities.
Applications for other forms of assistance (Category 2 grants), are dealt with directly by local clubs. 

Who Can Apply?

Local non-profit community based, incorporated organisations with an Australian Business Number (ABN) can apply. Organisations without an ABN must be auspiced by an incorporated organisation.

How To Apply?

Applications for the 2016 Auburn ClubGRANTS Scheme (Category 1) closed on 26 April 2016. The next round will open in 2017.
Applicants are encouraged to read the feedback summary from the 2015/16 Local Committee which is available for download below. This document contains information on the assessment process and feedback on the main strengths and weaknesses of applications for the 2015/16 round. 
A funding pool of $671,000 was allocated to 42 projects. A list of funded projects is available below for download.

Progress and Final Acquittal Reports

Progress Reports for projects funded in 2015/16 round are due by 5pm, 28 March 2016. Final project acqquittal reports for projects funded in 2015/16 are due on 28 November  2016.
Organisations receiving funding must submit a report upon completion of their project. The Auburn ClubGRANTS Local Committee will not consider further applications until they have received a final project report or progress report on previously funded projects.
