AUBURN LIBRARY CLOSURE UPDATE
Due to heavy rain on Sunday 12 February, Auburn Library received flood damage. The library building will now be closed until further notice.
The Council Atrium (between Council Chambers and the Auburn Library) will be open from 9.30am – 6pm weekdays and continue to have limited services available to the public, such as; newspapers, reference material, children’s books and other general stock material.
The returns chute is available for returned material 24 hours a day, seven days a week, however, computer and photocopier access is not available until further notice.
Regular programs will continue, such as; English Conversation Classes, Pre-school Story Time, Baby Bounce, Rhyme Time and Homework Help. Every effort will be made to continue these classes during this transitional period, however, those wishing to attend classes are encouraged to visit www.auburn.nsw.gov.au or call (02) 9735 1222 for the latest information.
Justice of the Peace services are currently available in the Council foyer area and the public can pick up their reserved books at Council Customer Services.
The other Council Library branches at Lidcombe, Regents Park and Newington are operating as normal with all regular services available.
