Cumberland Council provides essential services to our local community. These services and facilities are largely funded by income generated from rates.
Council's general (rates) income has increased by 1.8% approved by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART). 2015 base date land valuations will be used for rating purpsoes.
For a full explanation see Council's Annual Report.
Cumberland Council requires all changes of address for rate notices to be in writing. Download the Council requires all changes of address for rate notices to be in writing. Download the Change of Address form.
If rates are not paid by the due dates, interest is charged at 8% on a daily basis and legal action may be taken to recover the overdue rates. Legal costs for the recovery action will be added to the rate account.
