​As part of Local Government week, Auburn City Council will again host the 'Auburn Welcomes You' event in 2012 on Wednesday 15 August which will consist of information sessions and public education talks on the various support services provided by Council as well as other interagencies of the local area.

The Auburn area sees many new arrivals each year and this event is aimed at assisting in the settlement process by providing information on the various types of support available throughout the community.

One of the best things about Auburn is the tireless work and unending help that community groups provide to eachother and there are many local organisations that contribute to this event and provide much needed support to newly arrived people.
