Auburn Sports Awards
Friday 6 November

Nominate your favourite local sports person and celebrate their outstanding achievement in their chosen sporting field. The annual Auburn Sports Awards aim to recognise our local sports people through the presentation of five annual Awards:

  • Junior School Sports Person
  • Senior School Sports Person
  • Junior Sports Person
  • Senior Sports Person
  • Club Person of the Year

Dooleys Christmas Fair
Sunday 29 November

Enjoy a great day out with the family, all for a great cause!  Join in the fun from 11.00am to 5.00pm at Silverwater Park (Cnr Silverwater Road & Clyde Street, Silverwater) with christmas stalls, prize giveaways, carnival rides, entertainment, petting zoo and lots more!

This is a charity event to raise money for the Children's Hospital at Westmead.  All proceeds from stall hire, amusement rides and raffles will be donated to this very worthy cause.

Abdal Musa Festival

The Australia Alevi Cultural Centre is hosting a fantastic family day out at Lidcombe Oval (Church Street, Wyatt Park) from 10.00am to 6.00pm.  Bring your picnic blanket and enjoy some local family fun including live music, rides, food stalls, folklore and face painting.

Computer Classes @ Auburn Library

Classes will be held in November on:
Tuesday 17th - Getting Started on the Internet -
 10am till 1pm
Wednesday 18th - Introduction to E-mail -
 10am till 1pm

Homework Help
To help children in primary and secondary with the daunting prospect of completing their weekly homework schedule, Auburn Council organises a free Homework Help Centre where qualified teachers are on hand to make homework easy. All you have to do is turn up on Tuesdays and Thursdays during term time at Auburn Library, 1 Susan Street, Auburn. The Centre is open 4.15- 7.15pm. Homework Help is completely free thanks to Auburn RSL.
