LIBRARY SERVICES
 
Membership is required for use of the library. If you are a member of the library, you are able to reserve books through the Library Catalogue.

Services provided by Auburn Council libraries:

Auburn Library provides free access to a broad range of materials to help members of the community meet their educational, recreational and information needs. Items that can be borrowed include Books, Magazines, CDs, Videos and DVDs. Newspapers, including several community language Newspapers, can be read in the library.

All Fiction, Community Language Collections, Magazines, CDs, Videos and DVDs are located on the ground floor of the Library.

Reference Books, Phone Books, HSC materials, Non Fiction and ESL Books/Kits are on the first floor of the Library.

Photocopiers are available on both floors, with colour copying available only on the first floor. Nine computers with Microsoft Office and internet access are also located on the first floor, and can be booked for use by library members.

Newington Library provides free access to a growing range of new Books, Magazines and DVDs, including items in Chinese. You can return books from any other Auburn Council Library Branch to Newington, and items that are available for borrowing from other Auburn Council Libraries can also be sent to Newington Library for you to collect free of charge.

Two computers are available at the Newington Branch and can be booked for use by library members. Auburn Council Services such as paying rates, dog registrations and general council enquiries are also provided at Newington Library.

Regents Park Library provides free access to a collection of reference, non-fiction, fiction/paperbacks, large print fiction, Junior and young adults fiction, picture books, magazines and audio visual items such as DVD’s, CD’s, CD-ROM and videos. Other facilities include free internet access (two hours) for members, a photo copy service, school holiday activities and pre-school story time every Monday from 11-1.30am (except in the school holidays).

There is also a special Community Language Collection:
  • Arabic
  • Chinese
  • Vietnamese

( collections include non-fiction, fiction, videos & junior picture books & novels)

Lidcombe Library has a collection of reference, non-fiction and fiction books. There is also public access to PC’s and a photo copy service.

Storytime for preschoolers:
Tuesday 11:00am - 12:00pm (except school holidays)
