Membership, Catalogue and COMPUTER BOOKINGS
MEMBERSHIP
To use Auburn Council’s library services you will be required to become a member. Membership is free.
Over 18’s
From the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), choose the Join Online link. You will be given a temporary Membership number and PIN number that you can use to reserve items.
You will then need to bring identification showing your current address to your nearest library
Under 18’s
From the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), choose the Join Online link. You will be given a temporary Membership number and PIN number that you can use to reserve items.
Your parent/guardian will need to fill out the Youth Membership form. Bring the completed form as well as identification showing the parent/guardian's current address to your nearest library
LIBRARY CATALOGUE
The
OPAC (online public access catalogue) contains the complete holdings of the Auburn library and its branches in Lidcombe, Regent's Park, and Newington.
The collection includes books, talking books, CDs, video recordings, kits, periodicals and newspapers. Searches for specific items may be made by author, title, subject, keyword, series, and ISBN. The call number indicates the location of the book on the shelf.
COMPUTER BOOKINGS
Current Library members can book a computer online. You can book up to 2 hours per day of free computer time depending on availability. Two (2) bookings in advance may be made.
From the Online Public Access Catalogue (
OPAC), choose the
Computer Booking link. You can then logon to the Bookings page by entering your library card number as the logon and your PIN number as the password.
